The formula
SL (mm) = GSM x 100 / (courses/cm x wales/cm x Tex). The exact inverse of the knit GSM relation.
Worked example
Target GSM: 105.8 g/m2, Courses per cm: 16, Wales per cm: 12, Yarn count: 30 Ne. Result: Stitch length = 2.8 mm; Yarn Tex = 19.68.
Assumptions
- Finished relaxed state; the same loop-geometry relation as the Knit Fabric GSM calculator, inverted.
