The formula
Dye (kg) = fabric (kg) x shade % / 100.
Worked example
Lot fabric weight: 300 kg, Shade depth: 1.8 % o.w.f.. Result: Dyestuff = 5.4 kg; Dyestuff = 5,400 g.

- Total across the trichromatic split; individual dye shares come from the recipe.
