The formula
Total (kg) = dosing (g/L) x bath volume (L) / 1000, with bath volume = fabric x liquor ratio.
Worked example
Fabric weight: 300 kg, Liquor ratio (1 :): 8, Salt dosing: 40 g/L, Soda ash dosing: 20 g/L. Result: Salt = 96 kg; Soda ash = 48 kg; Bath volume = 2,400 L.
Assumptions
- g/L dosing on the full bath; dosed additions during the cycle count toward the total.
