The formula
Cartons = floor(usable CBM x utilization / carton CBM). Usable CBM: 20ft 28, 40ft 58, 40HC 68.
Worked example
Carton length: 60 cm, Carton width: 40 cm, Carton height: 30 cm, Container: 40ft high cube (68 m3 usable), Stacking utilization: 85 %. Result: Cartons per container = 802; Usable volume = 57.8 m3.
